An opportunity has arisen to build on the success of the business and develop it further for the coming year. The role will be to manage all aspects of the centre and team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can lead a team, develop the centre and be a friendly face to deliver excellence to our valued customers across our amazing space at The Chapel at Graylingwell Park. With strong financial acumen, you will have the ability to make commercial decisions, and the expertise to assess and develop the venue’s offerings to ensure the organisation is exceeding customer expectation, whilst meeting its’ targets. Personable with excellent communications skills.
The purpose and scope of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the café, events, and activities at Graylingwell Chapel. The Centre Manager will be employed by Connecting Spaces and line managed by the directors. We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our established team to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of planning a variety of centre management including F&B management, events and activities and will be motivated by the organising an event from confirmation to event completion. The events held in the Chapel range from corporate events, such as networking and workshops, to community events, such as comedy and music nights, to private events, such as weddings and birthday parties.
The role will be responsible for:
The day-to-day operation of The Chapel at Graylingwell Park
Focus on increasing sales and profitability
Produce and present financial reports and forecasts.
Prepare budgets and reports.
Evaluate performance and productivity
Track, analyse and control the costs associated with the venue.
Effectively recruit, train, and retain employees to ensure that the organisations functions as efficiently as possible, whilst at the same time as making it a great place to work.
Meet the organisations’ health and safety and other statutory obligations
Develop and maintain an effective sales and marketing strategy to promote the products, services and events of the organisation to the wider community.
Maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Experience of preparing monthly and quarterly reports for Payroll
